Oversized Books

Looking for an oversized book?  We are in the process of relocating them to a small wall on the right hand side of the elevator on the second floor.  These books will have the designation FOLIO both in the online catalog and above the call number on the spine of the book.

If you have any questions, please let us know!  And, as always, if you ever need help finding something in our collection, stop by the circulation desk or research services desk and we'll be happy to help you!

Food for Fines Returns April 11-17th

Have fines? Why not feed the hungry and erase your fines all at the same time? Stop by the Blackwell Circulation desk between April 11-17th and donate non-perishable food items to erase $2 of fines for each item. Questions? The Circulation Desk has the answers!

Blackwell Library Celebrates the Green Earth Book Award (GEBA)

During the month of April, Blackwell Library will celebrate the 6th Annual Green Earth Book Award by displaying the 2010 winning book titles in the library lobby. The award is the nation's only environmental stewardship literature program that recognizes authors and illustrators for their impact on children's literature. The GEBA was founded by the Newton Marasco Foundation and is one of the main events of Salisbury University's Children's and Young Adult Literature Festival.

Faculty Scholarship Reception on Friday, April 2nd!

A reminder to all SU Faculty:

This Friday, 2 April, between 3 - 5 PM, Blackwell Library celebrates the faculty's accomplishments.

Come join your colleagues for relaxation, conversation, and, at 3:30 PM, a public recognition of your achievements by the President, Provost, Deans and your peers.

Blackwell Library Closed Over Spring Break

Because Salisbury University will be closed over Spring Break, Blackwell will also close. Make sure to visit the library by 4 PM on Friday, March 12th, to get any print resources you will need over break. Don't forget that you can also access our databases from off campus by logging into Research Port with the 14 digit barcode on the back of your ID. The library will reopen on Sunday, March 21st, at 6 PM.
